The aim of this Award is to foster cultural exchange between American and International Musicians by providing teaching and performance opportunities in Wichita and the Midwest.
The 2005 award consists of four monthly masterclasses held the first Saturday of each month beginning in June. Classes will held June 4, July 2, August 6 and September 3. Residual teaching activity and performances will be facilitated by the society throughout this period. The residency will culminate with a recorded Orchestral concert at Wichita State University's Miller Concert Hall in Mid September. CD and DVD distribution will be handled through the Wichita Guitar Society and SoloGuitarist.Net. This award also includes a professional level membership in the society for one year.
