Ray Reussner is a former student of the legendary Andrés Segovia, who called Reussner "one of the most distinguished young guitarists of today." Reussner performed in five Segovia master classes and was chosen to be one of the subjects of a PBS documentary about the 1965 Segovia Master Class. He has also studied with José Tomas in Spain, and John Williams at London's Royal College of Music. In London,Reussner was awarded the Jack Morrison Guitar Prize, and then attracted international notice by winning the prestigious Premio Guitarras Ramirez and Premio American Guitar Foundation in the Concurso International de Guitarra at Orense, Spain.
